Ventcroft are pleased to announce the company’s Quality
Management System for the manufacture of Fire Cable has
been awarded BASEC accreditation to ISO9001 2000
(Schedule No CS1-196/001)
and also gained certification to the advanced Quality
Management System for Product Certification scheme,
BA2250 Pt1
(Schedule No BA -196/001).
BASEC
accreditation provides the company with the potential to
increase our sales through our world wide wholesaler
distribution network, in particular via specification
for our fire cable for use on many large building
projects in the UK and overseas.
The
final stage is for BASEC to review our fire cables test
results, with our
expectancy for fire cable to have BASEC product
license approval early in 2008.
The
company has invested in excess of £100,000 for
additional laboratory test equipment. In order to achieve
this accreditation and, with BASEC accreditation in
place, this will prevent our competitors wrongfully and
misleadingly indicating to potential customers that a
fire cable requires both LPCB and BASEC approval before
it is suitable for use.
The
board of directors thanks everyone for their efforts
during the changes to our management procedures, with a
special mention for Andy Groves for his guidance and
patience throughout the process to amend and improve our
Quality Management System to attain the BASEC approval.
The
company looks forward to another successful year and to
add to our business of the year award of this year, the
exporter of the year award in 2008/9.
